In our acquisitions program, we focus on expanding our retail portfolio in markets where we currently have product as well as contiguous areas. Deals may be structured in a variety of ways to meet sellers’ needs, including tax-deferred transactions.


We look for well-anchored neighborhood and community centers in major metropolitan areas with strong population growth and high barriers to entry. These properties can be core supermarket anchored, value added opportunities, or power centers. There is a preference for properties where we can add value through lease-up, remerchandising, and renovation. Strategic locations are required and supermarket and/or discount anchored centers are preferred.


In our Joint Venture program, we focus on expanding our existing partnerships as well as identifying new relationships. Some of the benefits we provide to our partners include numerous strong tenant relationships, strong asset management skills, the ability to source and analyze deals, local market expertise, product expertise and strong customer service.

Our ventures have utilized a variety of structures with the overriding theme of achieving an alignment of interests leading to a win-win deal for our partners and Schwaber Holdings.
